This section is composed of letters and remarks from customers that made me rethink of completely getting out of the magic business.  Because of such sentiments I have decided to relocate Magic Sojourn.  Please send any letters or remarks to me at : magicsojourn@msn.com

Dear John,

I am at work tonight, probably the same as you are, and I just got off the phone with Brennan.  I work a few jobs, as you may recall from some of our conversations, a couple of them at night, but I never let a night go by with out talking to the kids.  Tonight, Brennan hit me with a doozy.  He said your magnificent store will be closing, and I am so sorry to hear that.  I hope that it is not completely a matter of economy, but rather a happy confluence of circumstances that will enable you to continue to do what you enjoy, and in turn, bring so much joy to so many others.

As wonderful as I have always thought Brennan to be, he was never really comfortable in his own skin until he discovered his niche.  The sense of confidence that he discovered through magic and the big part that you played in the development will always be a fundamental part of his nature, and we are all invariably better off for it.

We have spent many happy afternoons in your store and in your presence, and have enjoyed all of them.  Brennan still talks of his birthday party in the back room.

Thank you so much for your contribution to my son's education not only in magic, but also in social interaction.  I hope that we were as endearing to you and your lovely wife as you were to us, and I can only wish you the best of everything in every future endeavor you pursue.

If you would ever like to get together for a dinner, it would truly be our pleasure to break bread somewhere.  Perhaps  even Georgine's one Sunday afternoon.  It would be our treat.  After all, we have similar backgrounds, both coming out of Ryan High, with ostensibly conservative ideologies.  On second thought, maybe we should just stick to interesting topics of conversation.

Thanks, again for everything, and we do hope to stay in touch.  Good luck in everything, and may your happy sojourn just be beginning.

    Sincerely,

    Bob S.

This is in part why I have to relocate.  Neither Landmark Towns Regional Main Street Coordinator Donna Boone, Congressman Patrick Murphy &  the Bristol Borough Council have been into my shop which has been a fixture on Mill Street for the past 4 years.  They are all located within a few block radius of my shop located in the business district of Bristol Borough.  No one has approached me to see what they can do for me let alone talk with me in reference to me leaving Mill Street. This is the worst I have seen Mill Street in the past 4 years with numerous shops leaving mill Street.  Thank God the shops leaving are being replaced with tattoo parlors, we now have 3 parlors in a 2 block radius.

No one seems to get it.  The major issue for the revitalization of Mill Street was the removal of trees not soliciting new businesses. I did not want to leave but am forced to leave.  Mill Street has become one of the too many business districts that have rapidly deteriorated.  Instead of the people in charge doing something about the revitalization they continue to get press in the newspapers on how many committees they are on and how they are feverishly working for the borough residents & businesses.

Magically yours,

John Bodner

Mill Street needs economic makeover

I drove by your shop a few days ago to see if it was really true that The Magic Sojourn has closed its doors and I was really saddened to see that it had. You've really taught me a lot about performing great illusions and I'm so greatful to you for it. I now have a great excuse to meet new people and magic helps to break the ice.
Have you considered the Willingboro market as a possible new location? Doesn't have the same atmosphere as your old shop but there would be a lot more foot traffic which means more income. I'll keep an eye out for more potential locations.
Thanks for all the great magic you bring into peoples lives.

I stumbled upon this shop about 3 years ago while driving down Mill street. I saw some neat things in the wrap around window box. Some scary looking things and some... just plain weird things! I went inside thinking it was a Halloween store (my favorite holiday) only to find it was a magic shop. Sharon then showed me a neat card trick. I then revisited the shop a few months later but this time on a Friday night because I read about Friday night magic on your site. I fell in love with the shop, and purchased hundreds of dollars of magic tricks and DVDs etc. I have some good memories in that old shop. One in particular involving me being in the window box. (need I continue that :p )

Anyway, I really hope you relocate close by.

Magically yours,
Tyler K.

Magic Sojourn is a very interesting and attactive shop!!! I wish that I lived closer, so I could visit every Friday! This is by far the best shop in the Philly area!! Actually the best in the whole Tri-state area!!!

Magic Sojourn is the most unique gift shop. It has magic tricks for the young novice magician to the experienced one. It's proprietor, John happily takes the time to show you how your purchase works. At many places, you make a purchase and then are left to read directions and try to figure out how it works. John's personal touch makes you want to return. He also has fantastic birthday parties that he personalizes to the age of the birthday child. Magic Sojourn will truly be missed from Mill Street. I hope that we all find Magic Sojourn open again in a new location soon.

I particularly liked the way he handled my children, and he also had a very firm hand shake.

This is what everyone pictures a magic shop should be and more -- and it's the only one like it here! I bought my first trick from John, and he taught me more than even the trick instructions had!

But the real magic is in John's desire for everyone to be amazed and learn according to their skills and to freely share this mystical art. From Friday Night Magic where he brings together magicians of all levels to hang out and share things new and old -- to his advice on effects (even advising against something not for you even if it means losing a sale! parents, this is more valuable than you think) -- Magic Sojourn is much more than a place to pick up a new gag.

My family and I have been frequent patrons. We looked forward to Friday nights there, and we've grown in magic as a result. Sure, internet shops promise a great price one a few things, but you can't go over a move with them like you can with John and the other magii there. And you can't share tips and get real-world avice on things like you can at Magic Sojourn.

John -- vanishing took a part of ourselves with you. Make it reappear. That would be your best tric
